FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The pieces

Are all pieces exactly the same as the photo?

No. Each fragment is unique. Depending on where your section is cut from the beam, there may be variations in color, grain, knots, nail holes or weathering compared to the product photo. These natural differences are part of the story and authenticity of reclaimed wood.

How do I tell you what to engrave?

For a Personalized or Complex plaque, we confirm your engraving details with you before your piece is made.

Certificates and provenance

Do you provide Certificates of Authenticity?

Yes. Every Normandy piece in the 250th Collection includes one. For other pieces, certificates are available for an additional fee and record the wood’s origin, reclamation details and documented lineage.

Can I see where my wood came from?

Yes. We offer optional photo and video packages with images of the original structure and, when available, the disassembly process, so you can keep the provenance alongside your finished piece.

Ordering and shipping

How does shipping work?

Most orders fall within standard carrier limits and ship free within the continental United States. For oversized or heavier pieces, we prepare a custom shipping quote based on your delivery address.

When can I check out online?

Online checkout opens soon. You can add pieces to your cart now; to order today, call (844) 433-6757.

What if I have questions before purchasing?

Reach out before placing your order about a piece, its dimensions, or how cuts will be made. We’re happy to help so you know exactly what you’ll receive.

Beams and grades

How are the beams sold?

All beams are offered in 6-inch links based on the beam’s original width and depth. You can purchase as many links as you need. If you buy multiple links, tell us whether you’d prefer individual 6-inch sections or one continuous length.

What does “Grade B” mean?

Grade B beams are structurally solid but show visible imperfections: knots, checks, weathering, nail holes or irregular edges. These markings don’t take away from the strength; they highlight the history and character of each piece.

Do you offer higher-grade or full beams?

Yes. For Grade A (construction-grade) material or full beams, visit our main company, Three Forks Wood Reclamation, for architectural-scale reclaimed wood.
